This is a national problem beyond our control and we are informed that this is being investigated as a priority.  This system is crucial for managing appointments, accessing medical records, and processing prescriptions, so this interruption may affect our ability to provide timely and efficient care.  We have limited access to your information so please bear with us.

Appointment Scheduling: We are unable to book, reschedule, or access details of your upcoming appointments at the moment.

Medical Records: Access to your medical records, including test results, is temporarily unavailable.

Prescription Requests: Processing of repeat prescriptions and new medication requests will be delayed.

Emergency Care: For urgent medical issues, please use 111 online or visit your nearest urgent care centre or contact emergency services.

Minor illness: Please check your local Pharmacy

Support and Assistance: The national team is working diligently to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We will keep you informed with updates on our website and through our social media channels.
Alternative Solutions: If you have an urgent medical need or prescription request, please call our reception at 0191 455 3867. Our staff will assist you with interim solutions and provide guidance on alternative care options.

Repeat prescriptions can be ordered using the NHS APP, by our 24 hour voicemail ordering service or by handing order forms in at reception.

Young People

After surveying many of our young patients aged 14-25 in September-October 2014, we made changes to make our surgery more young people friendly.

Register with a GP surgery

We are using a new online service called Register with a GP surgery that makes it easy to register with this GP surgery.

Just fill in this quick online form to start the process. You do not need proof of address or immigration status, ID or an NHS number.

The service is designed and run by the NHS, so your personal information is safe. It cuts our administrative workload and makes it easier for you to register. Paper forms are still available if you need one. Contact our reception team here.

Talbot Medical Centre is proud to be a GP Training Practice

Our practice trains doctors who are training to be GPs. Doctors in GP training are fully qualified doctors and have already worked and undertaken training in hospitals. You can expect them to provide a full range of GP services and are closely supervised by our regular GPs.

As part of their training, they may be required to undertake surgeries that are videoed, or their supervising GP may sit in during their consultation. You may opt out of being videoed or having another doctor sit in during the consultation, but if you are happy with this, you will be asked for your consent. In any case, your confidentiality will be maintained.

We currently have Dr Anjola Otoki, Doctor in GP training, working with us.
