Appointments

Appointments can be booked by telephone, calling in at reception or using the online facility.

We offer a variation of appointments with a variety of health professionals.

Our reception staff are trained and guided by the doctors to ensure patients are given the most appropriate appointment with the most appropriate clinician, this could be a Pharmacist, Nurse Practitioner, Physiotherapist, Mental Health Practitioner etc. This ensures you receive the quickest and most suitable appointment with the most skilled practitioner.

Please always attend your appointment on time and if you are unable to keep your appointment then please remember to call us as soon as possible. By doing this, you will be helping us to make more appointments available for you and other patients.

We always try to minimise the waiting time for you and, whilst we try to see you at the appointed time, some patients’ appointments may take longer than the time allocated, so please be patient if there is some delay.

Urgent Appointments

If you feel your problem is more urgent please let the reception staff know. We have a range of appointments with the Nurse Practitioner & GP to advise you sooner. If you are able to give the receptionist an outline of your problem it would help us ensure you are given the most appropriate appointment.

Home Visits

Home visits are reserved for housebound patients. Please contact the surgery on 454 2958 to request a visit before 10.30am and a clinician will phone you back to you to organise the most appropriate care for you.

Emergency Outside Surgery Hours

If you have an urgent medical problem “out of hours”, please call 111. Calls to this service are free from landlines and mobiles and they will advise and direct you to the most appropriate care.

This service is for emergencies only. If you can wait until the next working day, please do so.
