Carers

Here at our surgery we value our carers

A carer is anyone, child or adult, who looks after a family member, partner or friend who needs help because of a long term condition or disability.
As a surgery we provide a number of services to assist our carers including carers packs with information and helpful telephone numbers, signposting to other services that may help in our local area, Carers support group and someone to talk with to resolve any questions or issues that might arise.
We also send out annual information regarding events that are happening for Carers Week.

Here at the surgery we also value our Young Carers

A Young Carer is aged between 5-16 who carers for a member of the family or another individual because they have an illness disability, mental health or drugs misuse.

The surgery provides a Young Carers information pack with helpful numbers and websites. We can direct you to the support needed to look after yourself and the person you are caring for.

Services available are support with medication, housework, shopping or any other household tasks.

For the Young Carer services include help with homework, school support, time to yourself to socialise with your friends.
